Volvo is now fully committed to the electric car revolution. The company says its last diesel-powered car will be produced some time in early 2024. From that point onwards the company will focus on electrification, meaning Hybrids and fully electric cars.

Then from 2030 only fully-electric new Volvos will be produced and sold globally. Hard to believe that in 2019 most Volvos sold in Europe were diesel-powered. The move is one of the boldest in the industry, where a number of big rivals are still not committing to EV deadlines. Volvo says it wants to be ahead of the curve and assist in keeping the planet cleaner.
